Sr.SQL Developer Details

The Developer is responsible for leading the design and development of database programs supporting the client's business customers. Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems and devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and test/debugs programs. Develops conversion and system implementation plans, prepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation. Recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards.
Position Description -Developer responsible for large projects within customer/supplier/analytics area and as technical Architect for small to medium size projects -Designs, documents, estimates, codes, tests and migrates programs to production. -Prioritizes and tracks tasks of self and team members, escalates issues in a timely manner -Make critical application decisions that have direct impact on project costs, system performance and end user satisfaction and outcomes Minimum Requirements -8+ years experience working on multiple development projects -8+ years experience in development and supporting application programming in SQL - .NET application development a big plus! -8+ years experience developing and supporting GUI applications -8+ years system and client/server design experience -Prior working experience with relational databases, specifically Oracle and SQL server -Excellent project planning, organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4+ years experience: -Communicate with business partners on functionality of specific system or application. -Communicate at the business level (not using technical language) -Translate technical terms into business terms and vice versa, and understanding business functionalities well enough to assist in developing solutions with business partners. Additional Knowledge & Skills -Experience leading technology teams -VB (6.0) -.Net Framework development/VB.Net -Extensive SQL experience including advanced SQL development skills -Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server stored procedures -SQL Server 2000/2005 database development -Thin/Thick Client Architecture -Accounting/Finance -Budgeting/Forecasting Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience
